Our team in Stockton on the Forest, York, is growing, and we're looking for compassionate, dedicated female Support Workers to join our existing team, providing personalised support to a lovely client in her own home. Our client has a spinal cord injury and requires full assistance with her care due to limited mobility. With your support, she can continue to enjoy life at home, maintain her independence and feel confident that her choices, dignity and wellbeing always come first. This is more than a care role - it's about getting to know the person behind the care needs. Building a trusting relationship, listening carefully and understanding what matters to our client are all essential. We're looking for someone who is attentive, proactive and genuinely committed to providing support that reflects her individual needs and preferences. You'll also receive training to develop the specialist skills needed for the role, including urostomy and stoma care, cough assist, and recognising Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD). Our client loves animals and enjoys spending time with her dogs, fish pond and horses. You'll support her to enjoy the things that matter to her, including visiting her horses, while also helping with meals and everyday routines. If you're caring, patient and a great listener who takes pride in helping someone live life their way, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Due to the nature of the role and personal care requirements, this position is open to female applicants only.
Dedicated - committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and willing to go the extra mile for the people we support. Committed - reliable, consistent, and passionate about making a real difference every day. Caring - genuinely compassionate, with a natural desire to support, encourage, and uplift others. Kind - respectful, patient, and understanding, treating every individual with dignity and empathy. I expect Support Workers to work positively as part of a team, communicate openly and professionally, and uphold our values, policies, and standards of care at all times. A willingness to learn, reflect, and develop your skills is essential, as is putting the needs, choices, and rights of the people we support at the heart of everything you do.
Are you passionate about helping people live life on their own terms? Would you love a rewarding role where you can build meaningful relationships and make a genuine difference to someone's everyday life?
