CareTech Community Services at Southlands School in England seeks a committed Support Worker to help young people develop life skills, participate in activities, and grow independence.
You will work in a safe, nurturing environment, supporting daily living tasks, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and progressing through funded training to a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
Located in a beautiful building with scenic surroundings, our school and homes help educate and care for young people with a range of communication, behavioural, social and emotional difficulties. Our young people are intellectually high functioning and we pride ourselves on being able to engage every person with interesting and stimulating activities. Days out include a range of activities like kayaking, abseiling and even skydiving, but as a Support Worker here, you'll help us organise and run plenty of other "outside of the box" ideas to help our young people on their road to independence.
Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice. Whilst we endeavour to keep the recruitment process as short as possible due to the nature of these important checks it may extend the processing time. All young people are equally entitled to have their needs met in a fair and balanced way. Cambian Group employees are responsible for promoting equal opportunities for all and for challenging any behaviour or practice which discriminates against any young person or colleague on the grounds of race, religion, disability, age, gender, sexual orientation or any other perceived difference. CareTech Community Services are proud to inform you that they are a Disability Confident Leader.
