Job summary

Cera Care is recruiting a Support Worker for the Clements Close supported living scheme on a bank basis to cover annual leave and sickness, supporting clients in their own homes. The service provides 24-hour on-site care and supports adults with sensory loss and learning or physical disabilities. British Sign Language (BSL) skills are required to meet communication needs.

Shifts are 07:00–14:30 and 14:00–21:30, with occasional weekends. A DBS check and the right to work in the UK are required.

  • Experience of working with or caring for people with Autism, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges is an advantage.
  • Role is subject to a DBS check and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients in their own homes within the scheme.
  • Assist with personal care and daily activities.
  • Accompany clients to social activities and help maintain a safe, warm home environment.
  • Provide companionship, reassurance and joy to those in your care.

The service provides 24 hour on-site care and support in line for individuals with a range of needs. Clement Close provides care and accommodation predominantly for adults with sensory loss, and a learning and/or physical disability. Experience of working with or caring for people with Autism, learning difficulties and behavioural challenges is an advantage. You'll be supporting people to live more independent lives, which may include personal care, accompanying them on social activities, preparing food and helping them keep their home a safe and warm environment. £13.85 per hour Full or Part time hours, permanent contracts, We are looking for support workers on a bank work basis to cover annual leave and sickness in our suppported living scheme. Shift times are 07:00-14:30 earlies, 14:00-21:30 lates, and alternative weekends. British Sign Language (BSL) skills are required to meet the communication needs of this role.

Please note this role is subject to a DBS check and you must have the right to work in the UK.
