Job summary

Autism Initiatives in Bangor, Northern Ireland, is hiring Full-Time & Part-Time Support Workers to assist autistic individuals in daily living, developing independence, and accessing work, education and leisure activities.

You will work closely with a service-user led team, receive comprehensive induction training, and enjoy a wide range of benefits, with shifts across mornings, afternoons and nights. Desirable UK driving licence may be beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Experience in providing care or support, whether voluntary or personal.
  • Flexible to work on a rota that includes unsocial hours and weekends.
  • NISCC registered or eligible to register on appointment.
  • Desirable: full UK Driving Licence for manual vehicle (if required).

Responsibilities

  • Support autistic individuals in daily living, including developing independence.
  • Help with accessing work, education and leisure activities.
  • Collaborate with a service-user led team to deliver person-centred support.

We are seeking Full-Time & Part-Time Support Workers to join our team. You will work alongside people who use our services, supporting in a range of activities, including developing independence in daily living, accessing work/education and leisure activities.

Given the nature of the role, these positions are subject to an enhanced Access NI check for the successful applicants. The cost of which will be met by the organisation.



We have the following shifts available in our Bangor services:




  • AM shifts: 07.45am - 15.00pm

  • PM shifts: 14.45pm - 22.15pm

  • Night shifts: 22.00pm - 09.30am

  • Long days and part time shifts available.



Currently we are unable to provide Sponsorship or take over Sponsorship of an employment Visa.

Essential Criteria:




  • Working, voluntary or personal knowledge of providing care and/or support.

  • Be flexible to work on a rota basis that includes unsocial hours and weekends.

  • NISCC registered or apply to register on appointment.



Desirable:




  • A full UK Driving Licence to be held for a manual vehicle for a minimum of one year.
