Job Title: Support Worker – CAMHS Children Services

Location: Manchester

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Support Workers to work with CAMHS service users.

You will play a crucial role in supporting children with a variety of needs, including emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide day-to-day support to children in residential, community, or home settings.
  2. Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
  3. Implement individual care and support plans in line with the child’s needs.
  4. Assist with daily routines including meals, education support, and recreational activities.
  5. Support children with emotional regulation, social skills, and behaviour management.
  6. Maintain accurate records and reports in line with regulatory requirements.
  7. Work collaboratively with families, social workers, education staff, and other professionals.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience working with children in a care or support setting.
  2. An understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people.
  5. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  6. Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care or Childcare (desirable).
  7. PMVA certification (preferred).
