Norwood is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join our team, supporting adults with complex needs in a residential setting. You’ll deliver person-centred care and build positive, trusting relationships with the people you support.

Responsibilities

• Support people with their personal routines including personal care and meal preparation
• Encourage independence through life skills like budgeting, shopping and social outings
• Help people enjoy hobbies and interests: swimming, music, arts and outdoor activities
• Accompany residents to health appointments and trips out
• Work closely with our Physical Activity Practitioner, including in the hydrotherapy pool
• Contribute to household tasks and maintain a welcoming home environment
• Use a range of communication methods (Makaton, objects of reference, expressions)
• Drive the home vehicle for activities and appointments.

Your Day-to-Day

Your role will be varied and active. You’ll:

• Support people with their personal routines including personal care and meal preparation
