Job description

Support Workers, Waking Nights - Weymouth

£13.41 per hour

Part-Time (22 hours per week)

Dimensions is looking for caring Waking Night Support Workers in Weymouth to support 3 people throughout the night. The role involves ensuring appropriate support as per the risk assessment and support plan, while also carrying out key tasks.

Responsibilities may include:

• Carrying out regular “keeping safe checks” to ensure the safety and comfort of those supported.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Keeping written records using IT systems, including support plans, incident logs, and health and safety records.
• Creating a calm, therapeutic environment for those supported.
• Supporting individuals to make the most of their evenings and nights.
• Providing personal care when required.

The individuals supported have learning disabilities, and staff will be trained in communication methods such as pictures on tablets or Makaton sign language.

Support Workers will work 2 night shifts per week (20:00-07:00) with one weekend shift on alternate weeks.
