Job summary

Winston Way in Ipswich is seeking a compassionate Female Support Worker for a sleep-in only role. You will provide dedicated support in the evenings and during the sleep-in period, assisting with daily living tasks and personal care where required.

This position offers £14.00 per hour plus a £45.00 sleep-in payment, with both part-time and full-time opportunities and weekend/bank holiday shifts. A full UK manual driving licence is essential, and sponsorship is not available.

Female Support Worker (Sleep-In Only Role)

Pay: £14.00 per hour + £45.00 sleep-in payment
Shift Pattern: 8:00pm - 11:00pm (active support) followed by a sleep-in from 11:00pm - 7:00am
Location: Ipswich
Hours: Part-time / Full-time opportunities available (includes weekends and bank holidays)
Driving Licence: Full UK manual licence required

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Female Support Workers to join our team in a sleep-in only role. This is a hands-on position supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living, both at home and in the community.

This role consists of:

• Active evening support: 8:00pm - 11:00pm paid at £14.00 per hour
• Sleep-in shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am paid at a fixed rate of £45.00 per shift

You will play a key role in supporting individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity while achieving their personal goals.

Please note: This role involves providing personal care. Where appropriate, this may be considered a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow individual support plans and risk assessments
• Support individuals with evening routines and daily living tasks
• Assist with personal care where required (washing, bathing, toileting)
• Administer medication in line with training and policiesPromote a calm, safe, and supportive environment overnight
• Respond appropriately to any overnight support needs or emergencies

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and attend handovers and meetings

Requirements

• A full UK manual driving licence (essential)
• Willingness to drive a mobility vehicle
• Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
• A proactive, caring, and reliable approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work shifts, including sleep-ins and alternate weekends
