Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Support Worker at Saltgreens Residential Home, Eyemouth. This permanent role offers 28.75 hours per week with a salary of £14.37–£15.10 per hour (£27,739.05–£29,147.42 pro rata per annum).

The role provides person-centred care, training, and development in a supportive team. PVG Adults checks are arranged by SBC and SSSC registration is required/assisted.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• PVG Adults – we will do this for you!
• SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
• Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
• Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.

Rota:

Week one: Monday 8am-4pm, Wednesday 2pm-10pm, Thursday 2pm-10pm, Friday 4pm-10pm

Week Two: Wednesday 8am-4pm, Friday 3pm-10pm, Saturday 2pm-10pm, Sunday 2pm-10pm

The Role
