Job summary

A leading educational support service seeks a Social Worker Support to work with children who have challenging behaviour and special educational needs. This full-time position involves 1:1 support and behaviour management in an educational setting. Ideal candidates should have prior experience in similar roles and a clear DBS. Immediate availability is essential.

Social Worker Support Role

Start Date: ASAP

Experience Required: Supporting Social Emotional and Mental Health, Autism, and Complex Behavioural Needs

Position: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Working Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Salary: £ - £ per hour

The role involves working on a 1:1 basis with children who have challenging behaviour, SEMH, Autism, and have been through the care system.

You will be responsible for providing individualised behaviour interventions and ensuring the child's safety at all times.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with challenging behaviour and SEMH in educational or alternative children's settings. Support workers, youth workers, ex-prison/security staff, and children's residential care workers are encouraged to apply.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience managing challenging behaviour in groups or on a 1:1 basis.
  • Experience working with children, young people, or young adults with mental health needs, challenging behaviour, and Autism.
  • Immediate availability.
  • Clear Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce/Child and Adult Workforce) registered with the Update Service. Assistance with DBS application available if needed.
  • Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
