Support Worker/Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Stay with the daughter and provide attentive care, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Engage with her in her favourite activities (listening to music or stories) and encourage creativity through short art sessions or physical activities (e.g., jumping on an exercise ball).
• Assist with going to the park and National Trust gardens; accompany her as needed, including occasional school pickups.
• Help maintain a calm and positive atmosphere; provide reassurance as needed.
• Support basic household duties related to her needs: warming up and serving food, clearing away after eating, tidying toys/books after play, assisting with toileting, and placing clothes in the laundry basket when changing.
• Respect and care for the family’s pet cat as part of a warm, harmonious household.
• Follow instructions and work with initiative while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
