Job summary

Royal Mencap Society is seeking compassionate Support Workers for two part-time positions in Lowestoft/Oulton Broad. You will assist with daily activities, provide emotional support, and work with individuals with learning disabilities in a 24-hour care environment.

Driver preferred but not essential, with opportunities for sleep-ins at enhanced rates. Flexible shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our incredible team in Lowestoft. We have 2 part time positions available. Please read the job description before applying.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.

From assisting with daily activities like trampolining and swimming to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

• Driver is preferred but not essential.
• Supporting 4 people with PMLD/complex needs.
• May involve sleep ins and wake nights.

What we're looking for

Contract options

• Part-time : 20 hrs
• Part-time: flexible hours based on availability

Shift times

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!

• Days: Between 07:00-22:00
• Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00

There is also a sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £64.20

• All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
