Full time, 36 hours nights

Night shift from 19:30 to 8:00, including weekends.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour applies from 20:00 to 07:00, Monday to Sunday (excluding sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour is paid from 07:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and Sunday.

Birnbeck House is home for up to 13 adults with complex learning disabilities.

Care Assistant, Support Worker, or similar experience is desirable but not essential. We offer excellent training and induction programs for all new staff.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
2. Escort and assist clients in and around the service, at external events, and appointments.
3. Supporting a Person-Centered approach, encouraging independence, and helping clients achieve their aspirations.
4. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

To be successful in this role, you should:

1. Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
2. Work flexibly and creatively with clients and their families.
3. Personal care experience is preferred but not essential.
4. Be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
5. Be flexible to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota if required.
