Job summary

Chailey Heritage Foundation in Lewes is seeking a Night Support Worker to provide overnight care for children and young people with complex needs. Shifts cover 8:30pm–7:30am, with Twilight and Sunrise options, full-time 33 hours per week.

At Chailey Heritage Foundation, our Night Support Workers help make that happen.

Working across our Children's and Young People Services, you'll provide overnight care and reassurance, helping children and young people with complex disabilities rest comfortably, respond to their individual needs and wake ready for a new day.

This is a hands-on role where you'll provide personal care and support, helping to create a safe, calm and reassuring environment throughout the night.

Location:

North Chailey (BN8 4EF)

Salary:

£26,237 - £28,654 per annum (including 10% night enhancement)

Enhancements:

Weekends up to 50% /Bank Holidays 100% + Time in Lieu

Hours:

33 hours per week (full-time)

Shift patterns

• Full Night: 8:30pm – 7:30am
• Twilight: 8:30pm – 2:00am
• Sunrise: 2:00am – 7:30am

What You’ll Do:

• Helping with medication, feeding (including gastrostomy), and personal care
• Monitoring wellbeing throughout the night and recording notes
• Being a reliable, compassionate part of a committed team

What We’re Looking For:

• A caring, compassionate approach with the ability to stay calm and focused overnight
• Respect for individuality and a positive approach to disability and diversity
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Confidence in working with children and young people - or a willingness to learn
• Willingness to undertake training, including Health & Social Care Level 3
• Availability to work a rota including weekends and public holidays

Previous experience in care or supporting people with disabilities is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided.
