Mencap is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Castleford to assist adults with learning disabilities in their daily lives, providing practical support and emotional encouragement. The role involves helping with routines, finances, meals, tenancy tasks, and coordinating activities to promote independence.

We value empathy, good communication, and flexibility to work various shifts. DBS checks and references are required, with a supportive, inclusive team environment at our Castleford service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support.
• Support individuals with finances, tenancy tasks, meals and activities of their choosing.
• Engage residents in social and community activities, including events like home and away games.
• Work with a team to support 15 adults with learning disabilities in individual flats.
