Job summary

Transforming Support Coulsdon is looking for Male Support Workers to join Chipstead Court, supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will build trusted relationships, support everyday living and help each person achieve what matters to them.

These are full time, permanent positions, with day and night opportunities on a rolling two week rota. Prior care experience and a full UK driving licence are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least six months’ care or support experience.
• Ability to work the stated day or night rota.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with everyday living and maintain independence.
• Help people make choices about routines, activities and lifestyle.
• Assist access to community, appointments, education, employment and social activities.
• Provide support with health needs and medications per procedures.
• Assist with tenancy, finances and household responsibilities as needed.
• Build positive relationships with service users, families and professionals.
• Encourage confidence, independence and safe risk-taking per support plans.
• Maintain accurate support records and documentation.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies.
