Job summary

Potens is hiring a Support Worker at Larwood House in Kirkby in Ashfield. The role supports adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential setting. The schedule includes early, afternoon and night shifts with potential sleep-in duties and weekend work.

We offer a contributory pension, 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme, and funded learning opportunities from NVQ levels 2–5. A Care Certificate can be completed with us to gain qualification while you work.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a social care setting, supporting people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs is preferred but not essential.
• Drivers preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Taking part in the chosen activities and interests of the people we support.
• Meeting the individual needs of the people we support.
• Supporting with cooking, cleaning, and everyday tasks.
• Supporting to increase levels of confidence and everyday skills.
• Will involve personal care.
• Supporting one to one.
