Job summary

NIFHA is recruiting for a Care Worker at Beechway House in Derry/Londonderry, NI. The role provides care and support for 16 adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities, with 24-hour staff coverage throughout the year.

Successful applicants will have QCF/NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, and meet NISCC registration requirements within six months, with options to progress qualifications while employed.

Qualifications

• QCF/NVQ2 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• 6 months experience in a formal or informal care/support role and previous experience with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
• Must be currently registered with NISCC or achieve registration within 6 months.
• Or 1 year’s experience in a formal or informal care/support role with learning disabilities/mental health issues.
• Must be willing to work towards relevant qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support for adults with learning disabilities/mental health needs.
• Assist tenants with day-to-day activities and decision making.
