Job summary

ENS Recruitment is seeking Experienced Support Workers for supported living services for adults with learning disabilities in Shoeburyness, Essex. Roles are full-time, 40 hours per week, with day, weekend and sleep-in shifts. Sleep-ins pay an extra £5 per hour; overtime available.

Housing and support services provided by the client. Responsibilities include person-centred care, tenancy support and maintaining skills, with career development opportunities and comprehensive induction.

Qualifications

• One year of care experience is desirable.
• Willingness to work shift patterns including days, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Ability to live within a half hour commutable distance to Shoeburyness.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in line with best practice and statutory requirements.
• Support adults to maintain skills and engage in personal interests.
• Assist with tenancy maintenance and daily living tasks.
• Pursue training and development to maintain knowledge.

Experienced Support Workers required to work in a supported living services for learning disabilities.

We have full time permanent roles based in Shoeburyness. Essex and Hadleigh area, Essex

Note that our client does not offer sponsorship at this time.

Basic salary £25,417.60 per year. With sleep-ins your estimated earnings will be £27,494 - £29,725 per year

Candidates will need to live within a half hour commutable distance to Shoeburyness,

This position is a full time, 40 hour per week contract and will include day, weekend, and sleep in working. Sleep-in shifts are paid in addition to the basic salary at £5.00 extra per hour. Overtime is available.

Shift patterns are; Monday - Sunday

• Early Shift: 07:00 to 15:00
• Late Shift: 15:00 to 23:00
• Sleep In: 23:00 - 07:00

Our client provides housing and support services based on the fundamental belief that adults with a learning disability, autism or other mental impairment have a right to lead their own life, to determine where, how and with whom they live, and who provides them with support.

You will be responsible for;

• Providing care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the service management
• Support and enable adults to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care
• Support adults in maintaining their tenancy
• Maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as required to maintain and progress knowledge
