Job summary

Cartref Homes is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme in Sheerness. You will help adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges to live more independently, delivering 24-hour support across three services with a team that values kindness and resilience.

Starting salary is £27,958 (inclusive of one sleep-in per week). The role requires empathy, reliability, and a willingness to grow with the residents as they pursue daily goals and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, or mental health challenges is desirable.
• Able to support with daily routines and personal goals.
• Comfort with developing daily-life skills like budgeting, shopping, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

In this role, you'll support adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges to live more independently. You'll work as part of a dedicated team, providing 24-hour support across three services. No two days are the same, and every day truly matters.

Support Worker Shifts

The role of Support Worker is full time at 37.5 hours per week with shifts. You will be required to work a mix of early and late shifts, some weekends and some bank holidays. Some sleep-ins are also required at a rate of £67.50 per night.

Supported Living

The 3 supported living homes are well presented, comfortable environments, with each benefitting from being within sight of a bus stop and there is also free parking.
