Apex Scotland is the leading employment and training organisation specialising in work with people with convictions, offering a diverse range of services for young people and adults to help them break down barriers to employment and engage in education, employment or community activities.
We are looking for a Support Worker for our Moving In service, which includes Wigtownshire Food Bank and other support for those in poverty. There is also a soup kitchen drop-in weekly.
An up-to-date food hygiene certificate is desirable. No formal qualifications are required, but a kind, non-judgemental attitude is essential. You must enjoy keeping busy, and there is some manual handling involved. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential.
Membership of the Prevention of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required.
This post is temporary until 31 October 2025, covering a vacancy and maternity leave. The role will be reviewed at this date and may become part-time, 21 hours per week with funding to 31 March 2026.
