Job summary

Brainkind is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for our Cramlington location near Newcastle. The role offers a pay rate of £13.45 per hour, with an additional £1 enhancement on Bank Holidays and weekends. Hours are to be discussed, with night and day shifts available.

This full-time, permanent position reports to the Team Leader and focuses on empowering service users to live fully. You will work to maintain a homely environment, support personal care, document plans, and participate in reviews,

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain professional working relationships with service users to create a homely, pleasant living environment.
• Act as a role model, work as part of the team, and support service users and colleagues.
• Facilitate daily routines, personal care, and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Contribute to development of service user support plans, risk assessments and programmes; complete records as required.
• Implement individual support plans and highlight issues to the Team Leader to ensure quality services.
• Participate in service user reviews and MDT/ planning meetings; contribute to handovers between shifts.
• Assist service users with organising rooms and possessions; maintain clean and safe environments.
• Help service users access local and wider community activities and accompany them as required.
• Act as Keyworker for designated service users, liaising with staff on individual programmes.
• Report enquiries or concerns to line manager and communicate with family, friends and other professionals as required.
• Complete relevant documentation accurately and timely.
• Attend annual reviews and other meetings as required; support travel requirements and driving responsibilities when needed.
