Job summary

CareTech in Chalgrove, South Oxfordshire, is recruiting a Support Worker to provide flexible person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role offers the chance to gain experience while fitting around other commitments, with full training and support provided.

The successful candidate will work across services in the Oxford area, delivering care with dignity, independence, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work a range of shifts.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).
• Previous care experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and wellbeing.
• Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Assist with medication administration following training.
• Support access to community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Cover shifts across multiple services within the Oxford area.
• Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, waking nights, and sleep-ins where required.
