Job description

Our Supported Living Service in Hemsworth, WF9 is seeking 1 x Female Support Worker to provide support to our residents.

This role is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010

Mix of Days and Nights. Vacancy is for 31 hours per week.

Applicants with Full UK Driving Licence would be preferred.

You will support a community within Wakefield itself, across several services there are long-standing friendships, and you will support to maintain these relationships.

We will be closely working with new partnerships, exciting new prospects, and activities for the entire community to enjoy.

Carlton Close is a supported living project for 3 individuals with learning disabilities, 24 hours a day.

The property is a bungalow set in a quiet cul de sac. It is wheelchair accessible throughout, a beautiful conservatory and ensuites for all the bedrooms.

The property is in the market town of Hemsworth, there are regular buses linking the town with Barnsley, Wakefield and Doncaster.

We live within a short walking distance from a playing field, the local amenities and busy marketplace which contains shops and a range of cafes, a library and a local farm shop.

Other Information

We will have a core background team on duty 24/7 so there is overnight shifts and we will provide additional 1:1 support, ranging from personal care, housekeeping, and meals to days out and trips to the shops and activities.
