Job summary

Dimensions Ltd in Broadstone, Poole, is looking for Female Support Workers to join our team on full- and part-time contracts. A full UK manual driving license and own car are required.

The role offers shifts from 7am to 2:30pm and 2:30pm to 10pm in a community setting, assisting 2 ladies and 1 gentleman with daily activities and outings. The current hourly rate is £13.26, increasing to £13.71 from 1st October.

Qualifications

  • No formal experience required; attitude matters most.
  • Ability to communicate and engage with people who have learning disabilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a supportive care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Support with finances, meals, and daily routines as needed.
  • Provide moving and handling assistance and safe mobility support.
  • Encourage independence and participation in activities with residents.

Support Workers will also have to assist with finances, meal preparation, personal care and moving and handling.

About the role

We support 2 ladies and 1 gentleman aged in their 30’s and 40’s. They are looking for Support Workers who will be happy to assist them with the things they enjoy, including:

  • Going out for long walks, whatever the weather
  • Trips to the Vitality Stadium to see AFC Bournemouth Play
  • Days out at Tower Park to go to the cinema or Hollywood Bowl
  • Trips to zoos such as Marwell and Longleat
  • Theatre visits to The Mayflower (Southampton) and Poole Lighthouse
  • Board game nights at home

Shift patterns:7am to 2.30pm, 2.30pm to 10pm

The people at these flats want you to know that although not all of them communicate using words, they have other ways of letting you know what they want.

About you:

You don’t need previous experience to become a great Support Worker — what matters most is your attitude.
