Radis Community Care in Wymondham is seeking Full Time and Part Time Support Workers for its Extra Care Scheme at Robert Kett Court. You will support elderly residents, including those with dementia, maintaining independence while providing care and assistance as needed.

The role involves helping residents with mobility, personal care, meals, and social activities, aiming to promote choice, dignity and respect at all times.

Qualifications

• Assisting elderly individuals with physical frailty to maintain independence.
• Personal care including washing, hygiene and dressing.
• Support with mobility and everyday activities within an Extra Care Scheme.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with movement to dining areas, communal spaces, and back to their rooms.
• Provide personal care and support with daily living activities.
• Engage residents in physical and mental stimulation through recreational and social activities.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Full Time and Part Time Support worker to join the Radis Team in Robert Kett Court,Wymondham

The service comprises 40 self-contained apartments, including specialist accommodation for people living with dementia, helping residents to maintain their independence while having access to care and support whenever it is needed.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.
