Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a dedicated Full Time Day and Night Support Worker in Aylsham to assist elderly residents within our Extra Care Scheme. You will help residents to move safely, participate in meals in dining areas, and engage them in social activities, both individually and in groups, while maintaining dignity and respect.

The role includes assisting with personal care tasks such as washing, hygiene, and dressing, with a focus on enabling independence and comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in elder care or similar setting is desirable.
• Ability to assist with personal care tasks respectfully.
• Commitment to promoting dignity, choice and respect.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly individuals with mobility to dining areas and social spaces.
• Provide personal care support including washing, hygiene and dressing as needed.
• Assist residents with moving between rooms and communal areas.
• Support participation in recreational and social activities, individually or in groups.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Full Time Day and Night Support Worker to join the Radis Team in Aylsham.

DAYS: This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

NIGHTS: Nights, alternate weekends, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.
