Radis Community Care in Newmarket is seeking a Part Time Support Worker for the Extra Care Scheme at Childwick House. The role supports older people, helping them maintain independence and safe mobility in dining areas, social spaces, and their rooms.

You will assist with personal care, participate in activities, and work mornings and late shifts with alternate weekends. The position includes on-site training and a commitment to high-standard, respectful care.

Responsibilities

• Assist elderly individuals with mobility to dining areas, communal spaces and back to their rooms when requested.
• Assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing.
• Take part in physical and mental stimulation by participating in recreational and social activities with people both individually and as a group.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Part Time Support Worker to join the team at Childwick House, Newmarket.

Childwick House has 24 one and two-bedroom apartments for older people wanting to retain an independent lifestyle, while having the reassurance of a familiar and dedicated care team on site.

This will be a mix of morning and late shifts, alternate weekends. 20hours per week, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
