Job summary

Radis Community Care is seeking a Part Time Support Worker to join our Extra Care scheme at Heathcote House. You will assist older adults with physical frailty, helping them stay independent while on-site carers provide support.

The role involves helping with personal care, mobility, and social activities, with a mix of mornings and lates, including some weekend shifts. Comprehensive training and career progression are provided.

Responsibilities

• Help residents move safely to meals and social spaces.
• Provide personal care including washing, hygiene and dressing.

Job description

Radis Community Care are looking for a Part Time Support Worker to join our team atHeathcote House.

Heathcote House has a mix of 24 one and two bedroom apartments for people aged 50 or over looking to live independently but with the added reassurance of care workers on site.

This will be a mixture of morning and lates, including alternative weekends, 20 hours per week, plus sickness and annual leave cover.

At this present time, we are unable to consider Sponsorship for this role.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme, your primary responsibility is to assist elderly individuals who are experiencing physical frailty, helping them maintain as much independence as possible. This includes supporting people we support with restricted mobility by aiding them in moving safely to dining areas for meals, communal spaces for social engagement, and back to the privacy of their own rooms when requested.

The role will require you to assist people we support with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing. You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with people, both individually and as a group.

The core aim of this role is to promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect, consistently delivering care to the highest standard.
