Job summary

Dimensions in Wokingham is hiring a Support Worker to join three gentlemen in their 50s and 60s with learning disabilities. You'll help with daily living, plan activities, and support independence in a warm, active home.

The role is full-time (up to 37.5 hours per week) with various shift patterns, including early, late, and sleep-ins (£50). A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

About the role

Join a welcoming, energetic home where you’ll support three gentlemen in their 50s and 60s with learning disabilities. This is an active, social environment where you’ll help people live full, independent lives and enjoy a variety of outings and meaningful daily experiences.

The gentlemen enjoy:

  • Day trips to the seaside and countryside
  • Kayaking, bowling and gymnastics
  • Cooking, shopping and budgeting
  • Gardening and growing vegetables
  • Music, movies and their Friday night disco

You’ll provide:

  • Personal care and assistance with daily routines
  • Medication administration
  • Meal preparation and cooking
  • Support for one gentleman who uses a wheelchair and requires a hoist
  • Help with attending appointments and staying active
Shift patterns
  • 7:00am – 2:30pm
  • 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Long days between 7:00am – 10:00pm
  • Sleep-ins: 10:00pm – 7:00am (£50 per sleep-in)

Rotas are provided in advance to help with work-life balance.
