Job summary

Sense College in Knapwell is seeking a Support Worker to assist young adults with complex communication needs and learning disabilities. The role is 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until December 2027, with potential overtime and a Monday–Friday pattern from 9:15 to 4:15, excluding evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments/learning difficulties is beneficial.
• Full driving licence desirable (UK) and willingness to drive.

Responsibilities

• Support young adults with complex communication needs to achieve Everyday Living outcomes.
• Assist with personal care needs and promote health and wellbeing.
• Participate in education activities and community access, delivering a person-centred approach.

Skills

Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments

Full manual UK driving licence
