Job summary

Easycare 4 U Limited is seeking a Support Worker to help vulnerable adults in a supported living setting in Gillingham, Kent. The role involves person-centred, trauma-informed support to promote independence and confidence, with focus on daily living skills and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience in supported living or social care settings in the UK
• Commitment to supporting vulnerable adults
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stay calm and professional in challenging situations
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Providing practical, emotional and social support to residents
• Supporting individuals with daily living skills, including cooking, budgeting, cleaning and maintaining their accommodation
• Encouraging independence and positive decision-making
• Supporting residents to develop healthy routines and positive relationships
• Working in accordance with individual support plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans
• Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns
• Supporting individuals to manage challenging situations and reduce the risk of crisis
• Promoting positive risk-taking while maintaining appropriate boundaries
• Maintaining accurate records, case notes and incident reports
• Encouraging residents to take responsibility for their own choices and progress
• Promoting equality, dignity, respect and inclusion at all times
