Job summary

CareTech UK Ltd is recruiting a Support Worker for a brand-new supported living scheme in Wythenshawe to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role involves building independence, dignity and personal goals in a home and community setting.

You will work around 37.5 hours per week on a rota that includes days and nights, with flexible shifts and ongoing learning and development opportunities within a values-led team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in care or support roles is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs in a brand-new supported living flat.
• Assist with personal care and wellbeing, cooking and meal preparation, and daily living activities.
• Encourage independence and skills development through trauma-informed approaches.
• Enable access to community activities, education, leisure and employment opportunities.
• Promote positive outcomes through the organisation's care model and build trusting relationships.
