Job summary

Turning Point UK in England is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help a 31-year-old man with Autism and Epilepsy develop daily living skills and routines. You will provide person-centred support tailored to his sensory and communication needs, promoting independence and safety in a structured environment.

This 24-hour role requires flexible shifts, including nights and some weekends, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Passionate, caring and enthusiastic about supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Flexible, patient and non-judgemental, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promoting the independence of the people we support.
• Arranging activities in the home and in the local community.
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests.
• Helping residents stay safe and healthy.
• Assisting with personal care needs and manual handling.
• Supporting people with medication.
• Ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard.
