Job summary

UKCIL Ltd in Seahouses is seeking a caring and reliable Support Worker to assist a 19-year-old young man with Autism and ADHD. The role provides 1:1 support to help him access the community, develop social skills and build independence.

Responsibilities include helping him engage in social and leisure activities, learn life skills such as budgeting, shop independently, and use public transport. The work focuses on confidence, safety, and wellbeing, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism and similar needs.
• Patient, understanding, and able to build a positive, supportive relationship.
• Ability to encourage independence while providing guidance.
• Experience in disability, education, or support work (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Accessing social and leisure activities in the community.
• Developing social skills and building new friendships.
• Learning and practising life skills, including budgeting and managing money.
• Shopping independently.
• Learning to use public transport.
