Job summary

Turning Point UK is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for our Thornton service, a 24-hour facility supporting 11 adults with learning disabilities and health needs. You will help residents with daily living tasks, activities and personal care, promoting independence and safety in a person-centred environment.

As a leading not-for-profit health and social care provider, you’ll receive training and coaching after probation, with opportunities to progress through Level 2/3 Lead Adult Care

Qualifications

• Essential: passion, caring and enthusiastic attitude.
• Flexible, patient and non-judgemental approach.
• Great team player with energy.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to perform physical tasks such as manual handling.
• Experience helping people manage anxiety is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promoting independence and supporting daily activities such as cleaning and cooking.
• Organising activities in home and local community.
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests.
• Assisting with personal care needs and medication (creams/lotions).
• Maintaining accurate records and supporting service monitoring.
