Job summary

Upward Care in the West Midlands, Walsall, is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help adults live more independently at home. You will provide personal care, assist with activities such as shopping and cooking, and support individuals according to their care plans.

No two days are the same, and you will work under the Registered Manager to deliver care in line with regulations and best practices. NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent preferred; candidates with transferable values are welcome.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate caring qualities and values to support service users.
• Ability to follow individual care plans and associated risk assessments.
• Strong record keeping and communication skills essential for effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support vulnerable adults in their own homes.
• Assist with personal care and everyday activities (shopping, cooking).
• Administer medication as required and in line with care plans.
