About the service

Based in the lovely town of Ellon, this role involves supporting two individuals within their own homes. You will provide support with personal care, social outings, household duties, attending health appointments, and managing finances and medication. The focus of the role is to promote independence, helping individuals to develop new skills, try new experiences, and continue taking part in the activities and groups they enjoy. Building positive relationships and providing person-centred care and support will be key to helping them live fulfilling and independent lives.

The individuals lead active and varied lives, enjoying activities such as swimming, bowling, cycling, baking, spending time with family, and going on holidays (sometimes even abroad!). No two days are the same making this a rewarding and varied role.

Due to the wide range of activities the individuals participate in, including visits to more rural locations, a full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Shift patterns

The shift patterns within the service are:

  • 8am - 10pm
  • 8am - 8am including sleepover
  • Mid shifts (typically around 5 hours) to support activities and outings. These vary depending on the individuals' plans and can take place during afternoons or evenings.

You will be expected to work a mixture of these shift patterns, including weekends, on a rota basis. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the individuals we support.
