Who We Are

We’re one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities, and we’re proud to be pioneers in person-centred care. Our vision? Your Life, Your Choice. Our strategy? Best Lives Possible. And our vibe? Supportive, passionate, and always up for making a difference.

Whether you’re new to care or a seasoned pro, we’ll give you the tools, training, and TLC to thrive. Because when you go the extra mile for others, we go the extra mile for you.

Are you a positive and motivated person who is interested in supporting vulnerable adults to live the best lives possible? Are you looking to gain great experience in a satisfying job where you feel supported? If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for!

At our service in Ellon, we support individuals with a wide range of needs to live as independently as possible in their own flats. The individuals you'll be supporting range in age from 23 to 65 and enjoy lots of great activities, so we’re looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support people with bowls, boccia, gardening, going to the movies, swimming, cooking, baking and anything else they enjoy. The people we support have a private garden and love to spend time there socialising and growing vegetables. Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with:

  • Medication administration
  • Cooking and home maintenance
  • Social support and support to achieve personal goals
  • Managing the finances of the people we support The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun! We like people who are reliable and honest and are able to remain calm under pressure, so they can support people effectively and build fantastic relationships.

Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday and this will include some sleepover shifts. Our shift patterns can vary, but some examples of typical shifts are 8am - 3pm, 3pm - 9am the next day (with sleepover), 2.45pm - 3pm the next day (with sleepover). We are currently recruiting for a Temporary position of 35 hours and 37 hours. Due to various Services within Ellon being a driver is essential as you may be asked to cover at other Services.

Got heart? You’re halfway there.

At Community Integrated Care, we know it takes someone special to work in social care—and that doesn’t always mean having experience. We hire based on values, welcoming people from all walks of life: seasoned support workers, those with lived experience, or even total newbies with a passion to care.

We’re proud to be an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer. Good luck—we can’t wait to meet you!
