Job summary

Autism Initiatives is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join a dynamic team delivering autism-specific support. You will help individuals lead active lives, participate in community activities and maintain their homes with person-centred care.

We provide full training, DBS clearance, career progression and a comprehensive benefits package, including holidays, wellness programmes and financial wellbeing support. The role offers 30 hours per week with comprehensive onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic individuals to engage in daily activities and community-based leisure (e.g., swimming, walking groups, cinema visits).
• Promote health and wellbeing and assist with maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.
• Deliver personalised, flexible support aligned with each client’s goals and preferences.

£26485.76 per annum based on a 39-hour working week

Who we are looking for

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well-being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
