Job description

Support Worker for Solihull Council, you will be part of a great organisation that puts people at the heart of everything they do.

Your new role

Your main job as a support worker will be to assist residents with normal activities of daily living, promoting independence and maintaining their dignity and respect. In addition to carrying out tasks to ensure the smooth running of the home, you should also encourage service users to have confidence and high self-esteem, and most importantly, to have fun. The shifts include domiciliary care, personal care, and medication runs. The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30 - 16:30, and the location is Solihull.

What you'll need to succeed
  • At least 6 months experience within a Social Care role
  • Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Enhanced DBS with adult's barred list (Hays can request a new DBS)
  • Able to obtain employment references from the past 5 years
  • Understanding of the responsibilities of a Support Worker
  • A passion for caring for individuals and making an impact on people's lives!
