Job summary

Autism Initiatives is hiring a Support Worker in Blackpool to help autistic people live independent lives at home and enjoy community activities such as swimming, walking groups, or cinema trips. You will promote health and wellbeing and tailor support to each person’s goals in a flexible, person-centred way.

We provide full training, DBS at company expense, progression routes, Diploma Level 2, generous holidays, and a supportive team.

£27,381.51 per annum based on a 39-hour working week

Who we are looking for:

As a Support Worker, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and will enjoy joining a dynamic team that encourages people with autism to enjoy an active lifestyle. Community activities could include swimming, accessing walking groups or trips to the cinema. You will also promote health and well‑being and support individuals to maintain their home. The support we deliver is flexible and unique to each individual, building on their strengths and driven by their goals.

We are looking for people who share and demonstrate our values. You may have a background or understanding of supporting autistic people, but if not don’t worry, we have great training and a friendly team to support you every step of the way.
