Job description

Driving is Essential!

You will play a vital role in supporting the practical needs and well-being of residents while promoting their recovery and independent living skills. Your work will also involve assisting residents in maximizing their income, accessing benefits, and budgeting for domestic bills and living expenses. Through your efforts, you'll directly contribute to helping customers thrive and lead more fulfilling lives.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS, valid full UK driving licence, and access to a vehicle.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to:

  1. Demonstrate experience and knowledge of best practices for supporting mental health client groups or vulnerable adults, including recovery-focused and trauma-informed approaches.
  2. Understand how to assist vulnerable adults in managing their tenancy or accommodation.
  3. Be skilled in promoting recovery and independence through effective recovery/support plans.
  4. Show empathy and align with Peabody's values when working with a vulnerable client group.

Training Required

  1. Basic Life Support - including choking, CPR, DNA CPR, and Anaphylaxis
  2. Moving and Handling (Not People)
  3. AND
  4. Moving and Handling of People
  5. Medication Administration and Competency Test
  6. CPI
  7. Brain Injury Awareness
  8. Ligature Awareness and training
