Job summary

Outlook Care in Barking is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist individuals with learning and physical disabilities with daily living, personal care and participation in leisure, education and social activities.

You will help residents express rights and choices while upholding the standards of care in line with Outlook Care's policies and CQC Fundamental Standards.

Qualifications

  • Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
  • Good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills.
  • Good basic IT skills.
  • Relevant experience is desirable but not essential and applications are welcome from transferable skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with learning and physical disabilities with daily living activities.
  • Assist with personal care and accompany residents in leisure, education and social activities.
  • Promote residents' rights, choices and aspirations while maintaining high standards of care.

Job Role:

We are looking for dedicated, passionate Support Workers to join our team. You will support individuals with learning & physical disabilities with all aspects of daily living, from personal care to supporting them in leisure, education and social activities. Our Support Workers enable our customers to express their rights, choices and aspirations whilst ensuring the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Outlook Care's policies, procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.

The Service:

Located in Barking, this service is about a 10-minute walk from Barking Station. Our home is a Supported Living Service catering for up to five people. We have ramped access to the home and the home is accessible to wheelchair users. We enable and support our residents to engage in various recreational activities by creating a social and homely atmosphere.
