Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Are you seeking a rewarding, varied job? Do you enjoy working with people and making a difference? We have a casual/relief opportunity for a caring, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Female Support Worker in Drumoyne, Glasgow. A UK driving license is essential.

The role involves supporting two individuals with learning disabilities and physical health issues living in Govan, Glasgow. Both are non-verbal but communicate through other methods. They enjoy activities like going out in the car, shopping, swimming, musicals, dancing, and exploring their local area.

Support tasks include:

  • Supporting with medication
  • Cooking
  • Personal care assistance
  • Supporting with moving, positioning, and hospital appointments
  • Maintaining their homes and managing finances

Support is provided 24 hours a day, requiring flexibility for various shifts, including weekends and sleepovers. Shift patterns include dayshift (7:30 am - 7:30 pm), evenings (7:30 pm - 10:30 pm), and sleepovers. Due to the needs of the individuals, a female colleague is required for this role, which is a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act.
