Job summary

Shaw healthcare (Group) Ltd in East Preston, West Sussex, is seeking a Support Worker to provide person-centred care to residents in The Martlets nursing home. The role involves helping with daily living tasks, mobility support and maintaining dignity and inclusion.

Salary: £13.80 per hour

Hours: Bank (zero hours) and 36hrs day contract available

Shift Times: 12hr shifts, nights (20:00-08:00) or days (07:45-20:15) - includes alternative weekends for contracted hours

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring person who is ready to make a positive impact at The Martlets, an 80-bedded nursing care home located in East Preston, West Sussex, England. The purpose-built service provides residential and nursing care for older people with physical frailty, and for older people living with dementia.

Job Responsibilities

As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our lovely service users. This will include, but not limited to:

• Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
• Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene
• Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents
• Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
• Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting your colleagues in day-to-day duties
• Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment
