Potens is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join the team at Bourne Bridge House in Meshaw, South Molton as Support Workers. No previous experience is required – just the right values, a flexible mindset, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

This is an excellent opportunity for those new to care or seeking a meaningful and rewarding career. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, including the opportunity to complete the Care Certificate as part of the role. Potens has over 30 years’ experience in delivering specialist community, residential, supported living, respite, educational, and day opportunity services for children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and complex needs.

The organisation provides services nationwide through registered supported and independent living services, domiciliary care, residential care, respite care, day opportunities, and independent schools.

Established in 1989 and registered as Potensial Ltd in 2006, Potens began with two residential services in Birkenhead and has since grown steadily into a trusted and respected provider across the UK.

About the Role

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Support Worker.

All applicants must hold a full, valid, and clean driving license and have their own vehicle due to the location and the service needs.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our service here at Bournebridge House, which is set in six acres of land giving us a beautiful working environment and great surroundings. Bournebridge House is a residential service where we support young adults with learning disabilities and or autism.

We offer the chance to work in a lovely rural location with the opportunity to learn new skills. We welcome visits to our service to see if Bournebridge house is the right fit for you!

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • We support people across a range of activities that can include swimming, cinema, theatre, outdoor pursuits, forest school, and day to day tasks such as shopping a visit to the pub or even accompanying them on holiday.
  • Our main aim is to provide a homely environment for people with learning disabilities in which continuous encouragement, education, and stimulation are at the core element of supporting the people that live here with us at Bournebridge House.
  • Encouraging choice and involvement, supporting with personal care, and gaining life skills. Supporting and taking part in activities.
