Job description

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support worker in our residential service in Port Talbot.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Currently, we have 4 young adults with learning disabilities.
  • You will be supporting 1-1 and at times 2-1.
  • Continue to promote positive well-being.
  • Participate and be as enthusiastic about their likes and wants as they are.
  • Maintain and develop their community links, as well as accessing community and leisure pursuits to support their independent living and life skills.
  • Personal care may be involved.

Who you are:

  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise and prioritise work to suit the people we support.
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external.
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
  • Quick learner, hands on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities.
  • Flexible as shift will be on rota basis and can include days/evenings and waking nights when required
  • Drivers preferred (Manual only)
