Job summary

Disability North is looking for a Support Worker to join a 24/7 care team in Newcastle to support a gentleman in his early 40s. You will help with daily living skills, personal care, and independent living development in his home or local community.

Activities include access to community-based activities such as swimming and social events, following a detailed care plan and MVA plan. An enhanced DBS check is required, and you must have permission to work in the U.K. on start.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism or complex behavioural needs.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Permission to work in the U.K. at start.

Responsibilities

• Support a gentleman in his home and local community on a 24/7 shift rota.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care.
• Teach and develop independent living skills and accompany him to community activities (swimming, music cafe, social/leisure events).
• Follow detailed care plans and MVA plan.
