Job summary

Heart of England Mencap in Hampton Magna, near Warwick, is seeking caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to help adults with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives. This permanent role offers both full-time and part-time hours, with a pay rate of £12.88 per hour and a mix of day, evening, and sleep-in shifts.

You will assist with daily living, promote independence, accompany customers into the community, and provide health-related support after full training.

Qualifications

• Due to female customer personal needs, we are only recruiting Females at this time.
• A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers with personal care and daily living tasks
• Helping customers access the local community and take part in activities they enjoy
• Supporting customers to prepare meals and manage finances
• Administering medication and providing health-related support
• Supporting customers to achieve their personal goals
• Providing specialist support, including stoma care, intermittent catheterisation and epilepsy management following full training
